    State Labour Service inspection support means our engineer being beside you during a scheduled or unscheduled inspection: from preparing documents to addressing findings and appealing an order.     Support is most often ordered in a few situations: a notice of a scheduled inspection has arrived and there are only days left; an unscheduled inspection has started after an employee complaint; an investigation began after an accident; or you've already received an order and want to appeal it. 7 State Labour Service inspection scenarios — and how to act in each

Under martial law, a moratorium is currently in place on State Labour Service inspections. Based on our experience supporting such inspections when they did take place, below are the inspection types by frequency, with typical risks and our tactics.

The main point: you prepare for an inspection in advance, not 10 days before it. Fully preparing a company in 10 working days is impossible process-wise — documents, training and real processes can't be "caught up" that way. The most reliable path is to never let it get to a situation where an inspection catches you off guard: keep occupational safety in order at all times, through outsourcing or a regular audit. Then an inspection is a formality, not an emergency.

  1. A scheduled inspection per the plan

    Currently suspended for the duration of martial law. In normal mode, a company is included in the inspection plan under a risk-based model — manufacturing, construction, large logistics. The notice arrives 10 days ahead — there is time for full preparation: an express audit, document fixes, working through grey areas.

  2. Unscheduled after an employee complaint

    One of the most common today. The inspector arrives with a focused assignment targeting specific violations. Our tactic — quickly understand the subject of the complaint and prepare targeted answers without revealing anything extra.

  3. Unscheduled after an accident

    Starts automatically after a severe or fatal accident. It often brings a review of the overall OHS state too. Clients order it as a package with accident investigation — one tracker, one team.

  4. An inspection to verify compliance with an order

    When there's already been a report and an order — the inspector comes 30-60 days later to check whether the violations were fixed. It's critical to have proof of fixing each item. We know of cases where things were "fixed" formally, and the inspector found what wasn't done.

  5. An inspection linked to an accident/incident in the industry

    After a high-profile accident, the State Labour Service often runs a wave of inspections across the industry. For example, after a notorious case in construction — they go through all builders. The requirements are standard, but attention to detail is higher.

  6. A joint inspection with the SES

    When OHS overlaps with fire safety (manufacturing, warehouses, HoReCa). Two inspectors, two areas, but one company. Harder to support — we split the team: our OHS engineer + a fire-safety specialist.

  7. Appealing a report and order

    Your goal isn't to prevent it but to reduce the consequences. We prepare objections (3 days) and an appeal of the order (30 days) through administrative channels. We try not to take it to court — that's the last resort. We collect the resulting cases in the clients section.
